About the event
As a lot of you might know, I am French and the French Institute in London is where I literally would hang out when I was a teenager and when I was not rehearsing at the dance studio...
This year, the French Film Festival celebrates its 30th Anniversary. I had a list of numerous films with interviews of Film Directors and famous Actors who came directly from France for those screenings, unfortunately, it did not happen, I was only able to schedule one screening this year but I'll be more prepared next year. This year, the French Festival focuses on 'Gender Equality'!
The film, I would like you to book your seat for is 'En Corps' ('Rise') directed by French filmmaker, Cédric Klapisch and choreographer Hofesh Shechter, which is screening on Sunday 4th December at 8:30pm. The film is about the empowerment of women and it portrays the story of a young dancer who injures herself, she will have to find resilience through discovering her new body, new relationships, healing her injury and her life....
