I have GREAT NEWS to share with you!!

Dear Wholehearted Friends,

I hope this blog finds you wonderfully well!! It is so lovely to be able to have the time to write to you again!!

As mentioned in a previous post, I would be informing you of my life's turning point as soon as my application has been approved... And finally after nearly 20 years, I have finally decided to train professionally in my passion!! Teaching full time at Croydon College for Young People really sucked a lot of my joy, playfulness and energy but it brought back onto the surface the impatience, and the excitement, to work on expressing stories, creating space for social justice and healing, and to be onstage! So, for me, this last paragraph of this current chapter is a moment of celebration as I feel I am finally back on track to whom I am wholeheartedly; indeed, this year, I am studying a Master (Full Time MA) in World Performance, Theatres and Cultures. And that would be the reason why this year, I will not be able to teach the Afro Dance Fusion weekly.

You will be happy to know that the Afro Dance Fusion has now a new home!! Whoop whoop!! It is a lovely space where I used to take my Salsa classes. It is down the road from me (I know #lazy much) but the owner is really supportive of the work that I have been trying to create for the subscribers of The Ojas Centre.

Thank you so much to our lovely Mindful Humans for letting me know there was a problem with the booking system with the Afro Dance Fusion workshop. As you are probably aware the Afro Dance Fusion workshop will be held on Sunday 18th August from 4pm to 6pm at TREE HOUSE in Croydon.

I reduced the ticket to £20 if you book online but £25 at the door.

Are you ready for a journey of self- love, ancestral movement, empowerment, and to get lost in the music? Join me on a journey to awaken the goddess within and make your own inner world a sacred feminine energy through dance. We will be practising on West African, North African, Brazilian, Colombian dance styles including Samba and Belly Dancing with an emphasis on the music of Sona Jobarteh, Gambian Musician & Griot. I would sincerely appreciate if you could let your friends and family know. Please be aware this workshop will not be able to support anyone with feet, ankles, knees, legs or hips impairments.

For all the Soundbath lovers, I have not forgotten about you, you can now book for the next Soundbath session with me, please find the information below:

I look forward to let loose and feel the music with you soon!!

With Loving Kindness, Peace & Harmony,

AWA!
