Dear Wholehearted Warriors,
What a season we've had!! This is our last official session for Season 2!! Well done, Wonderful Warriors to all of you who made it and completed the course!! Indeed, from 6 weeks we extended the course to 8 weeks and it has been worth every minute.
Thank you to all those who stepped in, and embraced the choreography on 'Jama Narenji' on which we have danced as an expression of ''Freedom of Movement'' which has a similar perspective than 'my body, my choice!'
This season, we have incorporated the use of Dance theatre exercises. We have draped the walls to give it a multi- cultural atmosphere and we have invited Refugee men and women to participate in the project by including their calligraphy in their respective home languages to draw or paint our motto, 'Freedom of Movement' which we hang on the Dance Studio's walls and for those who are not just yet ready, send your pictures over, so I can add and edit them into our Dance Video Project. Our funders are so proud of all of you, Dancers!! They also love the idea that we went on a trip together to an Art Exhibition to get more inspired to embody the meaning(s) of 'Freedom of Movement'.
Season 3 is now ready to book, it will be on something completely different. Although it will still be about empowering women and men. Season 3 is about LOooove or Survivors of Love: from ''I'm a Survivor'' to Tina Turner, the main choreography would be on Janet Jackson!! This course is going to be great for all those who have done Seasons 1 &/or 2 and and all those who are looking for something dynamic, fun and at the same time, want to celebrate their strength as a Love Survivor!! As usual, the first 30mn would be Dance Fitness, then on Dance technique!! If you are interested, you can now book your place. Please ensure you are available most dates, the course is only 8 weeks and this course will mark the end of the Afro Dance Fusion this year, so join us now, it would be amazing to dance together in Season 3:
It has been a pleasure sharing my Afro Dance Fusion world with you and dancing with you!
See you soon in the Dance Studio,
