“Thanks for making me sweat, Awa!”

Dear Mindful Warriors,

Thank you so much for last Friday, great energy and great vibes you brought to the Afro Dance Fusion class!!

I loved the common phrase shared individually at the end of the class, “Thank you so much for making me sweat, Awa!”

With The Ojas Centre, we like to say that “we don’t sweat, we sparkle!!“ Sweat is such a healthy way to get rid off the toxins and to enhance our immune system.

It was so positive to see that the numbers are increasing, and that you are coming with your friends and colleagues to the Afro Dance Fusion class scheduled Fridays at 4:30pm. It would be so deeply appreciated if you could register to the next class or classes you will be attending and let me know of any injuries or medical conditions I should be aware of, and to type the contact details of your next of kin in case of an emergency…

A few of you have asked what is the music that I play at the Afro Dance Fusion class, so here is ‘Kemet’ by the London born Kora player, Sonah Jobarteh, originally from Gambia: https://youtu.be/lQ3KM3t0CDw It‘s been such a honour and pleasure to choreograph new routines on the theme of African Women Warriors inspired by the film ‘The Woman King’ and explore this theme with you, my Mindful Warriors!!

This is a gentle reminder that there will be no Yoga class this Tuesday. The lunchtime Yoga Meditation held at at the Croydon Buddhist Centre will be resumed on Tuesday 8th November at 11:15am (1h).

I look forward to practising Yoga for Meditation with you with a particular focus on the Yoga Philosophy for the Autumn Season next Tuesday.

Shanti to you all!!

Have you met Monique? Monique is absolutely amazing, as soon as she enters the room, her smile illuminates the room like she is embodying the sun from the start to the end of the class. Monique has such a warm and positive energy that is so catchy. She is extraordinary, she attends Movement classes most days and we are lucky since we started the Dance Classes for Participants over 50 years old, Monique has been a regular Participant to our Saturday Dance class in Wimbledon. Come and explore a fusion of various dance styles from Jazz, Samba, African to Belly Dancing. Travel the world through Dance with Awa!
